SYSTEM FOR CONTROLLING COMPUTER BOOTING USING BIOMETRIC IDENTIFICATION DEVICE

PURPOSE: A system for controlling computer booting using a biometric identification device is provided to enhance security efficiency of A computer booting controller using biometric identification, and independently adapt to computer and ROM BIOS type by booting computer through biometric identification only. CONSTITUTION: An ATX(an open PC motherboard specification by Intel) signal control part (110) cuts off the power source supplied from power switch in ATX motherboard to ATX terminal in ATX motherboard and supplies the power source to the ATX terminal by lock release signal. A reset signal control part(120) cuts off the output signal output from reset circuit of the motherboard and permits hardware reset of the motherboard only by the lock release signal. A BIOS ROM(Basic Input Output System ROM) control part(130) controls output of BIOS ROM in the motherboard by the lock release signal. A power supply control part(140) supplies power from power supply in the computer to the each parts under control of the lock release signal. A bio-identification data input/output control part(150) receives control signal from a biometric identification device(200), outputs the lock release signal to the each part and transmits power status of the power supply control part(14) to the bio-identification device(200). The bio-identification device(200) comprises a bio-identification sensor(210) generating bio-identification data, a micom(220) discriminating the data, a memory part(250) storing bio-identification data of users, a ROM(240) storing operation program for the micom and bio-identification algorithm and a power preservation device(230) preserving the data in memory part(250).
