<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic apparatus, a power-saving control method, and a storage medium which can reduce power consumption by placing the apparatus in a power-saving state according to its use state without letting a user being aware of that only through operation for closing a lid or lifting the apparatus. SOLUTION: This apparatus has a lid opening/closing sensor 5 which detects the lid of the apparatus being opened or closed, a lift sensor 6 which detects the equipment being lifted, a power controller 14 which powers ON the apparatus when the apparatus is placed on a desk or the like, and a CPU 1 which puts the apparatus in a sleep state when the lid closed, in a hibernation state wherein the power consumption is less than that in the sleep state when the apparatus is lifted, back into the sleep state from the hibernation state when the apparatus is placed on the desk or the like, and back into a normal state fast when the lid is opened.</p> |
