PURPOSE: A transformer for a microwave oven is provided to prevent a quality deterioration of a transformer for a microwave oven due to a damage of an insulating paper. CONSTITUTION: The first core(31) is formed with coil inserting portions(31a) at its opened side surface. A plurality of coils(32)(33)(35) are inserted into the coil inserting portions(31a) in order in a state of being electrically insulated to each other by an insulating paper(38). The second core(36) is coupled to the first core(31) and shields the openings of the coil inserting portions(31a). The first and second cores(31)(36) are made of a plurality of steel pieces by blanking and caulking. A single resin forming part(39) surrounds the plural coils(32)(33)(35) in whole. The resin forming part(39) comprises a BMC(Bulk Molding Compound) resin. Accordingly, the resin forming part(39) prevents the insulating paper(38) from being damaged.
