PURPOSE: A PDP(plasma display panel) is provided to improve luminous intensity and luminous efficiency through a thick dielectric layer and wide sustain electrode width. CONSTITUTION: In a PDP, over 80% of a pixel pitch is filmed by sustain electrodes. By widening width of sustain electrode, luminous intensity is improved while increasing discharge current. Thus, a thicker dielectric layer(110) is included in the PDP. Herein, a protecting film(120) formed by magnesia is installed to prevent deterioration of dielectric layer while improving discharge efficiency. The dielectric layer is formed for over 25 micrometers while spraying first/second sustain electrodes(132,131). Moreover, by widening width of the sustain electrode, discharge current is increased. By thickening dielectric layer, the discharge current is repressed. |
