<p>PURPOSE: A device for transmitting/receiving infrared rays is provided to receive an infrared signal in a monitor by adding an infrared rays receiving device to the monitor and to reduce a power consumption by adding a wake-up function to an infrared rays transmitting device. CONSTITUTION: In case that a keyboard included in a key input unit(100) or a key(101¯101+n) mounted in an X-Y coordinate conversion remote controller is pressed, a wake-up signal generating unit senses the pressing operation and generates a wake-up signal. If a wake-up signal is generated from the wake-up signal generating unit, a key sensing and wake-up detecting unit(120) senses a signal being generated in the key input unit(100) and generates a key signal corresponded to the signal. An encoder(130) codes the key signal generated in the key sensing and wake-up detecting unit(120) into key data. A counter and timer(150) creates a pulse waveform for a modulation of infrared rays. An infrared signal converting unit(140) converts the key data being obtained in the encoder(130) into an infrared signal using the created pulse waveform created in the counter and timer(150). An infrared rays transmitting unit(160) transmits the infrared signal generated in the infrared signal converting unit(140).</p> |
