PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a fishing rod aiming at the improvement of the strength in a good efficiency by preventing the reduction of its strength. SOLUTION: This fishing rod has a main body layer 20 formed by winding a fiber-reinforced prepreg obtained by impregnating a reinforcing fiber with a synthetic resin and a rod tube 2 equipped with a hole-forming part or a part- mounting part, and is characterized by arranging a reinforcing layer 26 equipped with a fiber-reinforced prepreg by setting the direction of the reinforcing fiber as an inclined direction, at the hole-forming part or part-mounting part.
