PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the generation of clogging to prevent the consumption of wasteful labor and time by preventing the mistake of operation procedure at the time of starting operation. SOLUTION: In a rice-milling machine wherein the shutter 4 for opening and closing a supply passage 3 for allowing brown rice to fall to the rice feed chamber communicating with a rice-milling chamber and a supply amt. regulating valve 5 are together arranged on the supply passage 3, the shutter 4 is forcibly locked in a closed state at a time of the opening of the supply amt. regulating valve 5. The locking of the shutter 4 in the closed state is released by the closing operation of the supply amt. regulating valve 5. A lock means L is interposed between the on-off operation lever 6 of the shutter 4 and the regulating operation lever 7 of the supply amt. regulating valve 5. An indicator 8 showing such a state that the shutter 4 is locked in a closed state or the supply amt. regulating valve 5 is closed and the locking of the shutter 4 is released in attached to a regulating dial 9 cooperating with the regulating operation lever 7.
