PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a prophylactic/therapeutic agent having substantially no side effect on human health and capable of entirely curing ulcerative colitis as well. SOLUTION: The subject prophylactic/therapeutic method for ulcerative colitis comprises using the other subject preparation containing centrifugal extract (including active compounds therein) afforded from as a crude drug. Thereby, this preparation gives sufficient improving effect in preventing/treating ulcerative colitis, or in the prophylactic/therapeutic method for ulcerative colitis. The above compounds also have improving effect in the prevention/treatment of diarrhea caused by ulcerative colitis or Crohn's disease. |
