PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bucket for a shovel loader capable of effectively preventing falling of a load and of accurately grasping the quantity of the load and the loading shape. SOLUTION: In a bucket 1 for a shovel loader equipped with a spill guard 7 for preventing falling of a load to the rear of the bucket 1, a see-through portion 9 having a slope of a bottom end 9A directed from side portion of the bucket 1 toward the center with an up-grade is provided at both end portions of the spill guard 7. The slant of this up-grade is made as the angle of repose, and the see-through portion 9 is constituted of a plurality of openings 8.
