PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject composition having improved water resistance, heat resistance, weather resistance and electric characteristics by making the composition include a hydroxyl group end isobutylene-based polymer and/or an isocyanate end isobutylene-based polymer obtained by reacting an end hydroxyl group with a polyisocyanate compound. SOLUTION: This composition comprises (A) a hydroxyl group end isobutylene-based polymer and/or (B) an isocyanate end isobutylene-based polymer obtained by reacting an end hydroxyl group with a polyisocyanate compound (e.g. methylenediphenyl diisocyanate, etc.), preferably at 0-180 deg.C for 30 minutes to 6 hours. The component A is obtained by reacting a halogen end isobutylene-based polymer with 1 to 4 equivalents of an olefin compound containing a protected hydroxyl group at the end dissolved in a solvent such as methylene chloride, etc., in the presence of an electronic donor such as pyridine, etc., at -100 to -30 deg.C by adding a Lewis acid such as TiCl4, etc., and deprotecting the resultant substance.
