PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wetting device wherein a proper wetting effect and a usability are compatible while a sufficient wetting effect and a paper breaking prevention are hard to be compatible. SOLUTION: This wetting device is equipped with a container 2 storing water or a solution containing an anti-bacterial or sterilizing agent or the like, a main body 1 which detachably attaches the container 2 to the wall surface of a toilet room, and a dropping device 4 which drops the water or the solution in the container 2 onto a toilet paper 3. Then, the dropping device 4 is equipped with a dropping port 5, which is constituted into a capillary-form, and a pump 6 which feeds out a specified amount within a range of 0.5 to 5 cc of the water or the solution from the inside of the container 2 to the dropping port 5 by a single operation.
