PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stent to be expanded easily with reduced pressure necessary for the expansion. SOLUTION: This stent consists of a strut 1a whose section is nearly circular. And the method of manufacturing the stent comprises a process of forming patterns on the surface of a tubular body with laser beams and shaping the section of the strut 1a nearly into a square and a process of shaping the section of the strut 1a nearly into a circle by chemical polishing.
