PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a canned motor pump having a bearing abrasion detecting device allowing easy and sure monitoring of the progress of abrasion of a bearing in a radial direction and in an axial direction by an electric detecting technique in the canned motor pump especially driven by an inverter. SOLUTION: In a canned motor pump where an impeller is fixed to one end of a rotor, and the rotor is supported by bearings disposed on both sides of the impeller side and the anti-impeller side, a cutout part is provided in a part of end face of an iron core of a stator of the canned motor, induction type sensors S1, S2, S3, S4 are disposed in the cutout part, and oscillating circuits 45 to 48 are connected to the induction type sensors, whereby oscillating signals of the oscillating circuits are supplied to the induction type sensors to detect abrasion of the bearing from the displacement of the rotor.
