PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make structure, blocking lateral, outward, and rearward flying of chips and cutting oil, excellent in durability and besides to reduce a cost and to decrease the lateral width of the whole. SOLUTION: A slide is longitudinally movable over a bed 1, a column 6 is laterally movably mounted on the slide, and the blade tool mounting end part of a main spindle 10 is vertically movably mounted on the front of the column 6. Further, when partition plate devices 16 and 16 to longitudinally partition a space above the bed 1 are mounted on the right and left side of the front of the column 6, the partition plate devices 16 use hinges 18 and 26, an inner partition plate 19, and the outer partition plate 22 and are intercoupled in an inverted V-shape to effect butterfly 2 operation.
