PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operating efficiency as well as to lengthen the life of an engine and an inverter by detecting the temperature of a switching element for constituting the inverter and setting the upper limit of the engine speed according to the temperature. SOLUTION: The limit maximum revolution is calculated on the basis of the switching element temperature (S105). The reference engine speed and the limit maximum revolution are compared with each other (S106). When the reference engine speed is larger, the reference engine speed and the actual speed are compared and calculated to find the deviation (S107), the driving amount of an actuator is calculated (S108), and the fuel supplying amount is adjusted so as to make the reference engine speed. The limit maximum revolution is determined on the basis of the switching element temperature and controlled to the engine speed according to the load current in the range not exceeding the limit maximum revolution. Therefore, when an engine generator has surplus energy, the limit maximum revolution is highly set to improve operating efficiency. While, when the engine generator has no surplus energy, the limit maximum revolution is lowly set to restrain output of the engine generator and to lengthen the life. |
