PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a starch product preservable for a long period without impairing its quality and taste without using any food additive. SOLUTION: This frozen starch product is obtained by mixing raw material starch with water to pour the mixture into a mold, subjecting the thus poured mixture to steam-heating to gelatinize it translucently, cooling the thus gelatinized mixture followed by removing it out of the mold; and then cutting the thus treated mixture into noodle-ribbons which are then quickly frozen; wherein pure arrowroot starch, potato starch, sweetpotato starch, corn starch and/or tapioka starch are (is) used as the raw material starch(s). |
