<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an oxygen-absorbing resin composition which has a large oxygen-absorbing rate and is useful for package containers, package films, or like, that have excellent gas barrier properties and transparency by compounding a specific thermoplastic resin with a transition metal catalyst. SOLUTION: This oxygen-absorbing resin composition comprises (A) a thermoplastic resin which contains carbon branched chains and contains carboxyl (anhydride) groups, carbonyl groups or the like in the main chain or the side chains, (for example, maleic anhydride-modified polybutene-1) and (B) a transition metal catalyst (for example, cobalt). The component B is preferably contained in an amount of 10 to 6,000 ppm (as metal) based on the component A. The composition may further be compounded with an antioxidant (for example,α-tocophenol) in an amount of 0.005 to 0.7 wt.% based on the component A.</p> |
