PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the structure of a cooking device which makes a cooking plate freely detachable for a main body and which has low possibility of the hands touching the cooking plate when used, and in which no dust falls in the inside of the main body. SOLUTION: In a cooking device 1 freely detachably mounting a cooking plate 3 externally exposed to the upper part of a main body, a edge member 11 comprising heat insulating materials is attached along the periphery of the cooking plate 3. Then, some space is provided between the edge member 11 and the periphery of the cooking plate 3, and a handle 12 for carrying the cooking plate 3 is formed in the edge member 11.
