PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To embody an endoscope which obviates the occurrence of a curving operation defect by rusting of curving operation wires even if autoclave sterilization is carried out by high-pressure and high-temperature steam. SOLUTION: Angle wires 45a and 45b which are the curving operation wires are provided with turn-up parts by turning up the angle wires with a front end cover member 41 in such a manner that the wires extend to an operation part side. Groove parts 46a and 46b are formed as winding and hooking parts at the front end cover member 41 in order to wind and hook these turn-up parts. The angle wires 45a and 45b are so constituted that their turn-up parts are fixed by means of screws as wire fastening members. As a result, soldering and brazing are not executed in fixing of the angle wires 45a and 45b and, therefore, the rusting of the angle wires 45a and 45b by the remaining of a flux does not occur.
