PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an abdominal respiration assisting means which is used for preventing mouth respiration and is easily usable during sleeping, during daily activity and during training of singing. SOLUTION: This abdominal respiration assisting means comprises sponge-like devil's tongue and is formed to a small block body 1 of a size nearly equal to the size of the molars of an adult. If a user inserts the small block body 1 between the right and left lower molars and the cheek and sleeps, mouth respiration is hindered and a snore and gnashing of the teeth may be prevented. If the user holds the small block body 1 inserted between the right and left lower molars and the cheek properly during the sleep or daily activity, the oral respiration is hindered and the user has the habit of nasal respiration and, therefore, has the stronger resistance to immune diseases, such as cold, atopy and asthma. An effect in improving health is thus expected. If the user inserts the small block body 1 between the right and left lower molars and the cheek and trains singing, an utterance method is improved and an improvement in singing is accomplished.
