PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a thermoplastic polyurethane elastomer for slash molding and an elastomer powder for the slash molding, excellent in moldability, capable of providing a skin material having a uniform thickness, and capable of allowing a minute laser processing or the like to be carried out thereon, and further to provide the skin material by using the same. SOLUTION: This thermoplastic polyurethane elastomer having a viscosity capable of being rapidly reduced and being adequately cross-linked at the time of melting, and especially suitable for forming a skin material of an interior material for a vehicle such as an instrument panel having a tear line formed for extension of an air bag is obtained by mixing and reacting a polyisocyanate component obtained by formulating a polyisocyanate such as hexamethylenediisocyanate, a blocked isocyanate or a uretedione group- containing polyisocyanate derivative, and a mixture thereof, and a polyol component comprising an adipate-type polyester polyol, a urethane-polymerization catalyst, a cross-linking agent and the like.
