摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a liquid crystal display device in which high use efficiency of light and enough auxiliary capacitance can be obtained without decreasing an opening rate of pixels and which can be used for a high definition device. SOLUTION: Silicon nitride 22 as a transparent insulating film for auxiliary capacitance is formed in a lower side of a pixel electrode 3. Then a common electrode 21 consisting of ITO to be connected to the common potential with a counter electrode is formed in the lower side of the aforementioned silicon nitride 22. Thus, an auxiliary capacitance is formed by the pixel electrode 3, silicon nitride 22 and common electrode 21. The pixel electrode 3, silicon nitride 22 and common electrode 21 are formed to such film thickness that transmittance for light at a specified wavelength is enhanced by interference.</p>
