PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an electrophotographic photoreceptor having high durability, stable to ozone, light, etc., and less liable to fatigue and deterioration even after repeated use by incorporating a specified oxo-gallium phthalocyanine dimer and an antioxidant into a photosensitive layer. SOLUTION: This electrophotographic photoreceptor has a photosensitive layer containing an oxo-gallium phthalocyanine dimer of the formula and an antioxidant on the electrically conductive substrate. In the formula, X1-X8 are each Cl or Br and (k) to (r) are each an integer of 0-4. The oxo-gallium phthalocyanine dimer preferably has a crystal structure having peaks at 7.3 deg. 9.8 deg. and 12.5 deg. Bragg angles (2θ±0.2 deg.) in its X-ray diffraction spectrum. The antioxidant may be a compound having a hindered phenol structural unit, a chroman derivative having a hydroxyl group, an organic sulfur compound or an organic phosphorus compound.
