<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically make the fast forwarding upto the main part recorded by the wide mode, when a rental video, etc., whereon the main part of a motion picture is recorded by the wide mode, is reproduced. SOLUTION: The device is furnished with a wide signal detecting circuit 9 for detecting the wide signal included in the vertical retrace flyback period of a video signal recorded on a video tape of a video cassette 3, and by a system controller 7 at the time of video tape reproduction, the video tape is reproduced with the search mode till the wide signal is detected by the wide signal detecting circuit 9, and when the wide signal is detected by the wide signal detecting circuit 9, the mode is transferred to the normal reproduction mode from the search mode, then the reproduction is continued.</p> |
