PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the structure of a slider hardly sticking or attracting dust or the like on the face opposite to a disk, in the slider that floats above the rotating disk. SOLUTION: A recessed part 290 capable of generating a negative pressure is constituted at least in a part of the area surrounded with a left side-rail 240, left air bearing face 220, cross rail 210, right air bearing face and right side-rail 250; the extent of a projection of the left side-rail 240 or the right side-rail 250 is larger than that of the recessed part 290 but is smaller than that of the left air bearing face 220 or the right air bearing face. In addition, dirt or the like is also hardly stuck or attracted to the face zoo opposite to the disk since the structure in which either one of the end edge 249 of the left side-rail 240 or that 259 of the right side-rail 250 terminates essentially in front of the air exit edge 204 of the face 200.
