SOLUTION: When a switch 8 is operated and switched to a backlight mode, gain of a gain amplifier is switched to triple by a control part 7, the dynamic range is enhanced to about triple that of the original value, a point where the dynamic range becomes 80 IRE against 80% is defined as a knee-point by an auto-knee processing part 5, defined so as to become 110 IRE against input of 16 folds (1600%) of a rated level (100%), 80% to 1600% are compressed and an input signal exceeding 1600% is clipped.
