PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable overlap removal without previous clip processing by storing a display list, on which plot elements and clip elements are mixed, and generating the new display list from which the overlap of plot areas is removed. SOLUTION: An instruction interpreting part 1 interprets the plotting instruction of an input character/graphic or the like and a vector data generating part 2 generates vector data. A display list generating part 4 converts the linearly approximated vector data to a display list form on the basis of these data and stores it in a display list storage part 5. The display list of clip elements is previously held in the storage part 5 as well and merged with the display list by a merge processing part 7. The stored new display list is divided for each partial area by a partial area dividing part 6, overlap removing processing is performed by an overlap removing processing part 8 and this list is stored in the storage part 5 again, inputted to a display list plotting part 9 one by one and plotted on a memory part 10. |
