PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make displayable the internal state of a pipeline when a source program is temporarily stopped or ended by analyzing the unprocessed stage of an instruction included in the pipeline and displaying the information on the internal state of the pipeline in a prescribed form. SOLUTION: An unprocessed instruction analysis part 11 analyzes an instruction in the unprocessed stage of a pipeline when a program is temporarily stopped or ended due to execution of a breakpoint etc. Then the part 11 decides whether the data on the analyzed instruction still remain in the pipeline and transmits this decision result as the information on the internal state of the pipeline. A user interface part 12 forms a display screen to show the internal state of the pipeline in a prescribed form according to the information on the internal state of the pipeline to notify a user of a fact that the updated data remain in the pipe line after this fact is decided.
