PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain contents of the attribute information of stored printing jobs before printing processing execution by specifying a notification destination to notify that each printing job is stored in a storage device and transmitting extracted attribute information to the specified notification destination through a communication medium. SOLUTION: In a host computer 3000, when printing is carried out from another host computer, a network transmitting and receiving part 30 receives this print through a network 40 and spools an external storage device 11. Here, when the spool is completed, an electronic mail is automatically transmitted to the manager of a preliminarily registered printer 1500. The electronic mail is transmitted to a device owned by the manager of the printer 1500 such as a PDA and a PHS through the network 40. The manager of the printer 1500 receives the electronic mail and can grasp what kind of content a printing job spooled in the device 11 has.
