PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image recording material capable of recording an image with IR laser and less liable to a change of the sensitivity with the lapse of time. SOLUTION: The image recording material 10 has a layer 14 containing a photodegradable compound or a thermally decomposable compound on the substrate 12 and a layer 16 containing a high molecular compound insoluble in water and soluble in alkaline water and increasing its solubility to alkaline water when light or heat is applied on the layer 14. The decomposition temperature of the thermally decomposable compound is 50-350 deg.C. |
