PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a case storage type proximity switch, capable of restraining a variation in an operation characteristic, when a reed switch is stored in a case, and allowing connecting a lead wire with a terminal with a few man-hours. SOLUTION: Case lengthwise hold parts 511, 512 divide a case 5 into three parts, comprising connection parts 501, 502, and a storage part 503. Case crosswise hold parts 514, 515 in a semicylindrical shape are provided on the sidewall of the storage part 503, and case width/depth direction holding part 516 in a semicylindrical shape having a head part in arrowhead shape is provided on the other sidewall. After a reed switch is stored in the storage part 503, motions of the reed switch in length, cross and depth directions are restricted. By inserting a connecting bracket to the connecting part, the terminal of the reed switch can be electrically connected with a lead wire.
