PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silver halide color photographic sensitive material superior in color reproducibility and image fastness and small in occurrence of stains and improved in storage stability and resistance to fluctuation of composition due to development processing. SOLUTION: This silver halide color photographic sensitive material contains a magenta coupler represented by the formula in which R1 is a tertiary alkyl group; each of (s), (m), and (n) is 0 or 1; each of R2-R7 is an H or halogen atom or an alkyl or aryl group; L is a divalent group selected from a -NR8SO2-, -SO2NR8, -SO2NR8CO-, NR8COO-, -NR8CONR, and -COO-groups; each of R8 and R9 is an H atom or an alkyl or aryl group; J is a -CO-, -COO-, -O-, -S-, -CONR10-, -NR10CO-, -NR10COO-, -NR10NR11-, -SO2-, -SO2NR10-, and -CONR10SO2-: each of R10 and R11 is an H atom or an alkyl or aryl group; B is a 1-70 total C alkyl or aryl group; (p) is an integer of 1-5; G is a substituent; and (q) is an integer of 0-4.
