A digital radio communication system frame synchronous acquisition device and a method thereof using a TDMA communication system. A sampling unit (2) uses a sampling frequency higher than the symbol frequency of a receiving signal (101) to sample the signal (101) for conversion into a digital signal (102), a correlation calculation unit (4) calculates a correlation value (103) between a signal (102) and a reference pattern (104), a timing detection unit (6) detects the timing deviation value (105) of a maximum correlation value for a reference frame synchronous timing signal (1), a number counter (7) counts the number of detected deviation values (105) according to a deviation value (105), a most frequent value selection unit (8) outputs, when the number of detections of the deviation value (105) has reached a preset number of times, a timing deviation value largest in number as the most frequent timing deviation value (106) which is a timing deviation value for frame synchronous timing and a receiving device cancels this deviation value (106).
