<p>A furniture design support system comprises a computer system. The computer system includes a hard disk unit, which stores a furniture design support program and data indicating basic types of units and parts. In response to a customer's order, an operator defines the size, finish color, material (the kind of wood), etc. of the units of the furniture to be designed, and also defines the finish color, material, etc. of the parts (drawer, door, etc.) (Step 33). When the units and parts are assembled on the display screen, finished furniture is displayed on the screen and the design data of the finished furniture is stored in the hard disk (Step 34). The profile of the finished furniture is displayed on the screen according to the design data, and printer produces printout (Step 35).</p> |
