The device has a transmitter of radar waves, a signal receiver with overlapping antenna lobes defining a number of monopulse areas that receives a radar wave echo from a target in each monopulse area to produce a pair of input signals, an angle data determination circuit and a change determination stage that determines a change in the angle direction data occurring in each monopulse area in succession and derives target object angular directions from the changes in the data.
