PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate a handle without hindrance for holding the pan to reduce the size of the pan of a rice cooking jar and improve its cleanability by forming a silicone rubber layer with each required thickness on the lower, side and upper faces along the whole circumference of a flange. SOLUTION: This pan of a rice cooking jar is equipped with a flange 2 facing outward on the rim of an opening of the pan body 1. A silicone rubber layer 13 is equipped along the whole circumference of the flange 2. The silicone rubber layer 13 has a U-shape comprising the lower face part 14 to cover the lower face of the flange 2, the side face part 15 to cover the side face and the upper face part 16 to cover the upper face and is formed so that the thickness is thicker than 1 mm for protecting fingertips from the heat of the pan body 1. The pan can be held without hindrance because the heat on the flange 2 part is insulated by the silicone rubber layer 13 when the flange 2 part is held over the silicone rubber layer 13.
