PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an ultraviolet light-curable type coating composition which has a low viscosity and excellent coatability and can form coating films having excellent rapid curability in the inner portions and in portions near to the surfaces of the coating films, by compounding a white pigment or an aluminum pigment, a specific radically polymerizable substance, a specific cationically polymerizable substance and a cation photopolymerization initiator in specific ratios. SOLUTION: This ultraviolet light-curable type coating composition comprises (A) a white pigment or an aluminum pigment, (B) a radically polymerizable substance having two double bonds and having a viscosity of <=100 cps at 25 deg.C, (C) a radically polymerizable substance having three double bonds and a viscosity of <=10, 000 cps at 25 deg.C, (D) a cationically polymerizable substance having one alicyclic epoxy group, (E) a cationically polymerizable substance having two or more alicyclic epoxy groups, and (F) a cation photopolymerization initiator, in a component (B+C)/(D+E) ratio of 30/70 to 50/50(%), a component B/C ratio of 70/30 to 90/10(%), and a component D/F ratio of 10/90 to 60/40(%). The component F is contained in an amount of 1 to 10 pts.wt. per 100 pts.wt. of the total amount of the components B to E.
