PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject suspension which causes the especially good decrease of sweat on human skins and is useful for preparations for makeup, by including a specific basic aluminum/zirconium halogenohydrate complex. SOLUTION: This suspension comprises the fine dispersion of a basic aluminum/zirconium halogenohydrate complex which may contain an amino acid, as an active substance in a non aqueous phase, and has an improved effect. Therein, at least 60% of the zirconium content can directly be titrated with EDTA at pH 0.8, after dissolved in 0.1 N HCl. The non-aqueous phase preferably comprises an oil, a cyclic silicone, a ring-opened silicone or their mixture. The active substance is preferably a basic aluminum-zirconium chloride wherein Al:Zr=2.0 to 10.0, and (Al+Zr):Cl = 0.9 to 2.1.
