PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form an accumulator compact by accelerating vaporizing action of an accumulator to suck a refrigerant from the upper side to be sucked and vaporized, and then to be returned to a compressor from the lower side to reduce quantity of liquid refrigerant collected in the accumulator. SOLUTION: A baffle plate 9 formed like a cap having a brim provided between a screen 8 of a protruded surface under an intake port 5 of a cylindrical closed container 4 having the intake port 5 at an upper part and a discharge port 6 at a lower part and an upper opening part 11a of a refrigerant discharge tube 11 connected to the discharge port 6 to rise is provided with communication holes 10 directed downward like nozzles. A refrigerant flowing from the communication holes 10 is thus provided with force, liquid refrigerant stored inside is agitated to accelerate vaporization, and liquid refrigerant is less likely to be collected, thereby an accumulator 2 can be formed compact.
