PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the generation of overshoot and to prevent the occurrence of unintended inversion switching. SOLUTION: In a ratchet wrench having a blade member 44 and the blade member 44 energized by a spring 58 through a push pin 56, an elastic member 66 formed of a material, such as rubber, having elasticity is incorporated in an internal space in the axial direction of the spring 58. This constitution increases a press force in a direction in which engagement between the claw 46 of a blade member 44 and the internal tooth gear 30 of an oscillation body 26 is held. Thus, when a force is exerted on the blade member 44 in a direction in which engagement between the claw 46 of the blade member 44 and the internal tooth gear 30 of the oscillation body 26 is released, the repulsion force of the spring 58 and the repulsion force of the elastic member 66 are exerted and the elastic member 66 is worked as a stopper, overshoot is prevented from occurring. Further, since the holding force of a switching member 52 on a shank 36 is increased by the spring 58 and the elastic member 66, unintended reversion switching of a switching member 52 is prevented from occurring.
