<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a light material having a large mechanical strength and excellent in fireproof properties by hardening a fluorocarbon-degraded product formed by a treatment for degrading a fluorocarbon and making the fluorocarbon harmless, with a binder to recycle the fluorocarbon-degraded product formed by the treatment for degrading the fluorocarbon and making the fluorocarbon harmless. SOLUTION: The binder is preferably gypsum, a cement or a synthetic resin. CFC-12 (CCl2F2) or the like used as a coolant for an automotive air conditioner is cited as the fluorocarbon. The fluorocarbon-degraded product is formed by a treatment for degrading the fluorocarbon and making the fluorocarbon harmless by a plasma-arc type apparatus for degrading the fluorocarbon and making the fluorocarbon harmless, and is a mixture of calcium carbonate (CaCO3) and calcium fluoride (CaF2). A plaster is used as the binder. The plaster is an inorganic binder, and is solidified by the reaction caused by mixing with water. The plaster is hemihydrate gypsum of 1/2 hydrate of calcium sulfate, containing 1.5 hydrate, and forms a hardened product.</p> |
