PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically clean an engaging surface of a gripper by engaging a cleaning element by opening and closing the gripper, and relatively sliding the moving gripper and the element. SOLUTION: A fixed side gripper and a movable side gripper are moved by holding a cleaning element 19 while sliding on a surface of the element 19. The element 19 receives a rotary force from the grippers and rotates a rotary shaft 25 and an oscillating pulley 31. Thus, an oscillating link 39 oscillates at a mounting point of a cleaner holding bracket 11 as a fulcrum. As a result, an oscillating bracket 17 vertically moves with the element 19, and the element 19 is brought into while surface contact with the gripper. Thereafter, the element 19 is taken out between the fixed side gripper and the movable side gripper. That is, the grippers hold the element on the way of moving at its moving route, slide while press bonding the element by utilizing a moving force of the grippers, and automatically clean printed product grasping surfaces.
