PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheel motor that can be quickly moved to places which are not obstructive to work and the passage of other vehicles or a place for charging a battery by unlocking the wheel with easy operation when the battery is dead. SOLUTION: A wheel motor 100 has a motor main body 10 with a motor mounted inside and a rotation shaft projecting from both ends thereof, a wheel 40 connected to one side of the rotation shaft (output shaft 20a), and a brake portion 30 connected to the other side of the rotation shaft. The wheel 40 comprises a hub 41 fixed to the rotation shaft, a housing 43 rotatably mounted with respect to the hub 41 via bearings 42a, 42b, rims 44a, 44b clamping a wheel member 47 and mounted at one side of the housing 43, and detachable bolts 46a to 46c for coupling and securing the hub 41 and housing 43.
