PURPOSE: A method of expanding the number of limited colors is provided to produce a system that supports a variety of colors and to offer clear images to users. CONSTITUTION: It is confirmed if a color change key of a remote control is inputted or not(S10). The palette color currently being used and colors changeable are displayed on a display screen(S20). A user key is monitored, and response of a key corresponding to the user key is confirmed(S30). When the selection of a desired color has been completed, the palette color is changed into the selected color(S40). Color construction a user wants is made for the next image(S50). Images are color-indexed and written in a screen buffer(S60). A palette position is recognized with reference to a palette color pointer inside a palette header(S70). The value of a written image is added to a palette address and the image is written in a portion of a screen, which should be video-processed, using a color value in the address(S80). The user confirms the color(S90).
