The gearbox has at least one drive shaft and driven shaft and a number of gear wheels mounted on the shafts that can be engaged and disengaged by an actuator. There is a parking lock that can be operated by the actuator for locking the driven shaft. The parking lock has a parking lock wheel (5) and a pawl (2) that can engage it reversibly with the aid of a biased spring element (7).
