PURPOSE:To compress the data with high compressibility with regard to the data compressing system for encoding and compressing a character-string in whick plural kinds of data of a character code, image data, etc., are mixed. CONSTITUTION:From a data file 1, a character-string which a character code and image data are mixed is stored in a data store part 2. A dictionary retrieving part 3 retrieves successively a dictionary A 4 and a dictionary B 5 from head character of the character-string of the data store part 2, and derives the maximum coincidence character part string. An output code store part 6 generates and outputs a code, based on an identification number in the dictionary of the maximum coincidence character part string. A registration character part string store part 7 stores in the maximum coincidence character part string, the character part string to which the next one character or plural characters continued thereto are added. A dictionary registering part 8 registers the character part string stored in the store part 7 in the dictionary A 4 or the dictionary B 5 which detects the maximum coincidence character part string. In the regard, in the case the longest coincidence character part train exists in plural dictionaries, a code of the dictionary selected in the previous time is used. It will suffice that the character-string is restored by repeating the reference of restoration of the dictionary in the reverse sequence to encoding, based on input data. |
