Installation fixture for a connector

An installation fixture for installing contact pins of a connector into respective contact holes in a mounting substrate comprises a fixture plate, an alignment pin and a resilient pad. The pin extends upwards from the fixture plate for insertion through holes of the mounting substrate and connector. The pad provides a surface for resting a section of the connector extending beyond an end of the mounting substrate. Thus the connector is prevented from tipping as its contact pins are inserted into contact holes of the mounting substrate.
