<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly move a cursor at the time of the low-speed operation of the remote manipulator of a pointing device and to prevent the imprudent movement of the cursor on a display device due to the temperature drift of an angular velocity detection function. SOLUTION: In this pointing device composed of the remote manipulator 9 for detecting the angular velocity of the movement of an operation and transmitting electric signals corresponding to the size as position signals and the display device 1 for moving and displaying the cursor by the transmitted position signals, the remote manipulator 9 converts a voltage exceeding a threshold value to the position signals and moves the cursor within a range where the output voltage of the angular velocity detection function exceeds the determined threshold value, converts the output voltage to the position signals for moving the cursor in the direction in a constant distance and at a constant speed and moves the cursor when the dynamic of the voltage continues in one direction for specified period within the range where it does not exceed the threshold value.</p> |
