PURPOSE: A clutch of a ship is provided to simplify the structure, and to reduce noise and weight by forming the clutch with two shafts including gear groups and a hydraulic unit. CONSTITUTION: A clutch apparatus of a ship is composed of an input shaft(10) turning by receiving power from an engine; a forward drum(13) including annular clutch plates(14) integrally assembled with the input shaft; a backward drum(17) installed in a housing(1); a backward input gear(16) integrally assembled with the input shaft; a hydraulic unit(40) applying hydraulic pressure to the forward drum or the backward drum selectively; a clutch member(20) inserted to the forward drum and the backward drum, turned by receiving power according to hydraulic pressure, and assembled with the input shaft; an elastic member(12) inserted to the input shaft to return the clutch member elastically; and a propeller shaft(30) having a driven gear(33) and a propeller(35), and turning according to power transmission direction. The structure of the clutch is simplified, and the weight is reduced.
