STATIC PRESSURE POROUS BEARING AND MANUFACTURE THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a static pressure porous bearing and its manufacturing method excellent in productivity with little characteristic dispersion. SOLUTION: This static pressure porous bearing is composed of a bearing case 3, base material 1 and a surface contraction layer 2. The base material 1 is a unidirectional porous plate formed of bronze and has a large number of oblique pores (unidirectional through pores) piercing vertically to a bearing surface. The base material 1 is fitted to the front face of the bearing case 3 and bonded to the peripheral wall of the bearing case 3 at the back face peripheral edge parts of the base material 1. The surface of the base material 1 is covered with the surface contraction layer 2. The surface contraction layer 2 is formed by baking a porous body formed of molybdenum disulfide, to the surface of the base material 1, and has continuous pores of randum distribution. A space part 5 for storing compressed air is formed between the back face side of the base material 1 and the bearing case 3.
